A Rivelin Valley Kitchen

When we approached James to do some new worktops in our kitchen, we were not quite ready for the enthusiasm and inspiration that James brings to your plans.
We had just moved into our modern house from a very old cottage and wanted to have a modern “cooks” kitchen. The current kitchen being very much in the shaker style and not very in keeping with the modern feel of the house.

James listened to what we had planned and the kind of feel we wanted the kitchen to have. He got us straight away and came up with some fabulous ideas using bamboo and stainless steel and a striking emerald, green tiled backdrop. The ideas just kept coming and we decided to run with the plan. Highlights being the “waterfall” bamboo worktop, moulded stainless steel sink and five burner Smeg range cooker.

We had intended on keeping the cream shaker style cabinet doors but once the design took shape the doors just would not work so we ended up changing them all to a very simple, no handles, mat dark grey/blue which finished off the look perfectly.
Once the design had been priced up and we were happy with the costs James set to work. His attention to detail is absolutely second to none, right down to the copper pipe installed under the shelving to hang our pans from. We have had kitchens fitted before by well know kitchen brands and had never experienced craftsmanship like this. James was always looking for good trade deals and making the choosing of taps, shelving brackets etc. a breeze.

At the end of each working day, James tidied up all of his tools well before we came home from work and made sure the entire kitchen was clean and tidy and ready to use where possible. This made the whole project so much easier to live with, more than any work we had had done previously in other houses.

James whole manner is enthusiastic, professional and is such a friendly guy to have around. I would not hesitate to recommend James to anyone wanting quality, out of the ordinary workmanship that comes with helpful ideas and inspiration.
